Let me just say that, no I do not feed my child to rabid dogs. I had to include this photo because it was so hilarious! Pele is the most kindest, gentlest dog ever and unfortunately this shot was taken perfectly mid-chew so it is very misleading!
Such a loving and adoring couple!

A few more lessons learned on the road:
#2- Kayla's sleepy music also works on Garrett.
#3- Texans LOVE their Dairy Queen and Sonic Drive Thru, they also seem to love McCain/Palin
#4- Texas is WAY to big
#5 - Louisiana has the WORST drivers. PEOPLE! If it's a two-lane highway the left is for passing ONLY. You may think you're driving fast enough to just stay in it, but you're NOT!
#6- Surprisingly, the big truck stop travel centers like Pilot or Loves make great pit stops for changing diapers, they always seem to have changing stations.
Today we made it to Jackson, MS. The driving has been going VERY well. I guess having Kayla be a normally scheduled baby has made life pretty easy on the road. Her nap times (morning and afternoon) have pretty much stayed on track. I give her a paci and her blankie, say nap time, and she goes to sleep. Last night we hit a MAJOR wall and she totally went crazy at bedtime and cried/screamed for about two hours before finally passing out. I'm not sure what was going on, but today and tonight everything seems back to normal. For lunch we stopped in Monroe, LA and met Pastor Tom from Christ Church at the Chick-fil-a. We asked him where the nearest park was to eat our lunch and let Kayla stretch her legs and after starting to give us directions he said 'let's just get in our cars and follow me.' I guess that's that southern hospitality! Thanks Pastor Tom!

On to Atlanta, GA.

We miss you guys too!! It was a sad day here at the cabin when reality set in that our only friends in town were from out of town! hahaha! Anyway...on a more serious note, how did you guys feel the day you left? Mike and I got REALLY sick. We weren't sure if it was our food from Carinos that we had with you guys or our early lunch after you guys left? Bleh, icky day for sure! :) We wish you safe traveling for your last day on the road - yipppeeeee!
i am so glad that the trip has been going so well. love you!
